What a spooktacular affair!
My dearest gentle reader,
I was recently honored to be asked by Megan and Oz to do my first catered wedding through The Franklin Castle! (This is a dream come true for me!)
The Franklin Castle is a one-of-a-kind venue for a wedding full of a very enchanted kind of magic.
Megan and Oz had previously taken a tour at the castle with the manager, Michael, and he had mentioned to them The Franklin Castle now does both catered events and small weddings. They right away emailed me saying they wanted to get married at the castle on the eve of Halloween! They asked for a small, spooky, but elegant wedding. After that correspondence, I flew over the castle on my broomstick and started taking measurements immediately! 🧹 I have had a magical vision that I was so excited to get a chance to implement at the castle!
Their menu selections were Gluhwein and Spiced Cider for the festive punch table; the appetizers choices were my homemade harvest flatbreads and honey baked brie with garden herbs. For the entree they chose my Sicilian Grandma’s authentic lasagna recipe, and Ohio City Pasta butternut squash ravioli with veggies and vodka sauce. The desserts came from a talented close family friend: Bernice Gross, and the spooky wedding cake was provided by Wild Flour Bakery! The castle dining room table was transformed into the wedding buffet table, and I also provided a separate coffee and tea station with teas grown from my tea garden!
I absolutely loved this couple, and their lovely wedding guests! The next day as we were reviewing video footage from the wedding, you can see the orbs were happily celebrating Megan and Oz!
