Happy Practical Magic Day

To those who celebrate…I’m not crying you’re crying!

Like so many other witches, I love this movie with my entire heart! I owe so much of my creativity, event designs, and my day-to-day life to Practical Magic!

I’m also lucky and grateful to have a Sally to my Gillian. Sisters are the best!

To quote Aunt Fransis Owens from the iconic movie “Practical Magic” (Griffin Dunne, 1998)

“My darling girl, when are you going to understand that being normal is not necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage! “Throughout my whole life this very quote and movie empowered me to beat to my own drum and stay true to myself. (Through the flaws, bold fashion choices, and the chaos of life!) Who doesn’t love a story about sisterhood and breaking generational curses?

While watching the press tour for the anticipated sequel Practical Magic 2, I have been totally witching out. Between the iconic outfits and the girl power, I’m absolutely smitten! I just purchased my tickets, I have my herbal midnight margarita, and I’m ready to fall in love whenever I can!

(If my future husband happens to be at the Practical Magic 2 movie theater…that would be a great start!)

“There are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can.”
