When I think about historically who the persecuted witches actually were, I think of all of the women who dared to ask questions. Any critical thinking woman who wanted independence, an education, the healers, the women who looked out for other women. Anyone fulfilled by a life without a master was a terrifying threat. This still is a terrifying threat. Magic happens when a person unapologetically listens to their intuition. The more you flex that muscle, the more your inner power grows. Then you awaken other witches, and that’s what a patriarchy fears the most.
