INGREDIENTS:
- 3 Heirloom tomatoes, sliced
- 2 medium cucumbers, sliced
- 1/2 cup of basil sprigs
Dressing:
- 1/3 cup of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of either prosecco or any white vinegar for brightness
- 6-7 fresh garlic, minced
- tarragon, chopped
- dill, chopped
- seasoning: garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
RECIPE:
- Start with the dressing!
- *When I’m doing dressing, I love muddling all of the ingredients with a mortar and pestle set to really bring out all of the fresh flavor, this helps press the garlic!
- Mince all of your garlic, chop your herbs, prepare your seasoning, and measure out your liquids!
- Add your garlic, salt, olive oil and start muddling just the garlic for a few minutes to help infuse into the dressing a little.
- Add the rest of the dressing ingredients and mix together until thoroughly mixed!
- Set aside the dressing to sit for about 30 minutes, slice your vegetables, throw them into a bowl and add your sprigs of basil, add the dressing and toss the salad until totally combined!
Enjoy!
